Flexibility, opportunity, respect and balance
are what I appreciate most here. From the start of my internship,
I knew W&G was perfect for me. There's little overnight
travel, and no expectation that I would drop everything to
get on a plane, potentially to spend weeks away from home
on an assignment. And we've got a firm full of happy, accomplished
and successful professionals sharing the same philosophy.
I've worked here full time for 4 years, and during that time
got married and had my first child. I took some time off and
when I returned to the firm, I worked to develop a very flexible
work schedule that allows me to effectively balance my work
schedule with the quality of time I want to raise my newborn
child. The process was handled with great respect with a very
positive outcome. All of this has happened during a period
of progressive advancement-I now supervise staff, have a great
deal of responsibility to manage client relationships, and
have completed dozens of assignments in which I have seen
every facet of an audit and client organization, while continuing
my professional development.
The flexibility afforded the staff, like our bank time, giving
us the choice to take time off, or pay, for our overtime,
or the ability to be a very content working mother, just speaks
volumes about how great the atmosphere is here. There's enormous
respect accorded to everyone's individual needs and the emphasis
on balancing work and a personal life; I think a lot of people
would benefit by exploring the wonderful opportunities available
