The White House recently released the "Unified Framework For Fixing Our Broken Tax Code", a conceptual framework that provides a broad outline of objectives with few concrete details. The outline does, however, include a stated objective to provide middle-class workers a break, as well as a desire to help businesses compete in the marketplace.
The next step in the tax reform process is for the the House to draft an official Bill. This Bill will likely go through several drafts, negotiations, and editing before a final plan is voted on by the House. It is a strong possibility that the final Bill that is brought to vote may not align with all of the items in the White House Framework.
Please stay tuned, as we will keep you informed as Tax Reform moves through the legislative process.
