The State of New Jersey recently sent notices to taxpayers alerting them of the need to update the banking information that is used to make ACH credit tax and/or employer payments. This new banking information has been in effect since May 27, 2026. If your payment software or financial institution has not yet been updated to reflect the new routing and account numbers, your future New Jersey tax payments are at risk of failing.

Required Change

Please update your payment software or instruct your financial institution to change its payment process to reflect the following updated Account and Routing Numbers:

Account Number:  ******9210

Routing Number:   *****0248

Important Deadline

New Jersey tax payments submitted using outdated banking information after June 30, 2026, are at risk of failing. Failed payments resulting from incorrect banking numbers are the taxpayer’s responsibility to correct, and delayed postings may result in penalties and/or interest.
