Biography

David Schwartz, a Principal at WilkinGuttenplan, has been with the firm since 2006. David specializes in providing audit, tax, and consulting services for real estate entities, including cooperative corporations, condominiums, and residential apartment complexes in New York. He advises cooperative corporations and condominiums in all areas, including audit, tax, mixed-use allocations, annual and long-term budgeting, and accumulating and investing reserves.

Prior to joining WilkinGuttenplan, David worked for a public accounting firm providing audit, accounting, and tax services for a diverse client base.

What excites you most about the future of your industry?

Every year CPA’s/Accountants are needed more and more as the accounting industry becomes more complex. This pushes us to learn something new every day and be better than yesterday.

What is your favorite part of the culture at WG?

The care the partners have for the employees of WG.

If you weren’t an accountant/consultant, what would you be?

I would be a ski patroller.  I always loved skiing, but I always knew it was not a long-term career.
