Biography

Darko Naumoski, a Principal at WilkinGuttenplan, joined the firm in 2017, specializing in international taxation and planning strategies. Darko’s tax practice is consumed by international tax matters, which include U.S. tax aspects of international business, such as foreign businesses that operate in the U.S. and U.S. businesses doing work abroad. Darko assists mid-market multinational clients create and implement tax structures to minimize worldwide tax, which is operationally practical. For foreign-based businesses, Darko and his team are often the first points of contact to steer clients through the different hurdles of doing business in the U.S., giving clients peace of mind that their businesses are tax-compliant in the U.S.

Darko also contributes to the training and development of our entry-level and advanced staff regarding international taxation concepts, practices, and procedures.

Prior to working at WilkinGuttenplan, Darko worked for a regional accounting firm providing international tax services.

What motivates you?

I’m a competitive person by nature, so success itself motivates me. But more deeply, I find enjoyment in helping people be successful and making those personal connections.

What is your favorite part of the culture at WG?

Everyone at WG cares about each other as individuals, professionals, and friends. We are truly a family.

What excites you most about the future of your industry?

I think we are moving more and more towards a technological transformation that will enable us as tax advisors to do more and have better insights for our clients.

If you weren’t an accountant/consultant, what would you be?

Normally I would have said a soccer coach/trainer, but I truly believe that in a second life I’d be a barber or a hairstylist.
