Biography

Tom Hasard is the IT Shareholder at WilkinGuttenplan and has been with the firm for 14 years. He is responsible for ensuring the security, performance, and availability of technology for the firm. He is also responsible for driving innovation as well as creating and executing the firm’s IT strategy. Additionally, Tom manages the firm’s Technology Services practice. He works with clients in the professional services and healthcare industries and consults on operational, strategic, and security matters.

Tom is a Certified Information System Security Professional, which is a globally recognized certification that draws from a broad body of knowledge and ensures security leaders have a knowledge and understanding of new threats, technologies, regulations, standards, and practices.

Tom has over 16 years of experience in the IT field and is active in the BDO Alliance USA IT community, the NJ chapter of ISC2, and a member of Infraguard. He speaks regularly on IT and Security topics. Prior to joining WilkinGuttenplan, Tom worked as an engineer for a regional managed service provider.

Automation and interconnected systems create tremendous opportunities to transform the way we interact with our clients and deliver services.

If you weren’t a technology professional, what would you be?

A mechanical engineer.

What motivates you?

I love learning about new systems and processes and then breaking them down to help explain them to others, explore new ways to use them or find out why they aren’t working as expected.
